The Diamondbuff Microdermabrasion Exfoliation Tool claims to solve a long list of skin issues. It claims to give you vibrant and glowing skin, as well as unclog pores and even skin tone. It is meant to be more gentle than other exfoliating tools like the pore vacuum for example. It also claims to be incrusted with real diamonds. Insider producer Celia Skvaril decided to try it for herself. She spoke to board-certified dermatologist, Dr. Divya Shokeen, who likens the tool to a Ped Egg. Dr. Shokeen does not think it’s possible for the tool to follow through on all of its claims, and that it might leave your skin worse off than where it started.
Celia has been struggling with a bad acne breakout since November 2019. In “The Zit Fix,” she will be trying out a bunch of different products — microscope included — to see if they help her breakouts while getting help from experts along the way.
