From Annalisa (@skinperspective and @stubborncosmetics):
“If they state Coco nucifera it’s coconut oil, the caprylic/ capric triglycerides are a specific fraction of coconut oil, so only the caprylic and capric triglycerides (CCT). There’s also fractionated coconut oil contains fractionated fatty acids. In this case they used the CCT because it’s an ester with quite light skin feel so it counteracts the greasiness of the coconut oil and it also removes makeup quite well. The PEG-20 glyceryl triisostearate (commercial name Cithrol 10GTIS) is a very good surfactant that emulsifies the balm as soon as water is added and allows it to be cleaned easily. It usually works quite well. If I remember well, Clinique Take off the day has that ingredient too.”
