The Glam Glow Super Mud Clearing Treatment Mask has been a beauty lover cult favorite for years. Many recognize it by the black dots that show up on the face as it dries. It claims to instantly and visibly clear pores. The standard size costs $60, which is a pretty steep price for a face mask.
Insider Producer Celia Skvaril decided to try it out for herself to see if it visibly cleared her pores. She used a microscope to look at her pores before and after and then went over the results with Dermatologist Dr. Muneed Shah. Dr. Shah thinks it’s unlikely that the dots on the face are actually unclogged pores, but that the mask can give positive results over time.
Celia has been struggling with a bad acne breakout since November 2019. In “The Zit Fix,” she will be trying out a bunch of different products — microscope included — to see if they help her breakouts while getting help from experts along the way.
