Sugaring is a traditional, “painless” form of hair removal that uses a paste made of only three simple ingredients — water, lemon, and sugar — to remove hair from the root, making it a good wax alternative for sensitive skin. Sugaring is usually done at a salon, but with many salons closed, people have been attempting to sugar off body hair at home. Learning how to sugar isn’t an easy process, so Insider producer Nico Reyes turned to professional sugaring expert Kelly Vela of Sugared Bronzed to teach her the do’s and don’ts of sugaring at home.
